INDIA/INDIAN OUTSOURCING
BY: ROSE BERDIN
Being the world's second highly populated country, India is also considered as one of the successful country when it comes to outsourcing. India started becoming a global outsourcing hub in the 1990's when companies first realized the huge advantages of off shoring work and jobs to India given the comparatively low salaries prevalent in India and the huge reservoir of skilled manpower available. Some countries consider India as a THREAT when it comes to outsourcing business. But according to the father of Indian Outsourcing before India was known, they were failed also a lot of times but then they have this courage and perseverance to pursue their dreams for the country.
Aside from outsourcing, law firms also across the world can greatly benefit in India through off shoring. LPO firms in India have reached a higher maturity level. Currently many tasks like IP processes, legal research, pre-litigation documentation, document analysis, preparing software licensing agreements is outsourced to India.
Despite of these successes of India there were also some other problems that they are facing, curiously enough, India itself is on the brink of a manpower crisis. The education system is unable to produce enough "quality" workers. Further, shortsighted political leaders aren't doing enough to reform the education system.
Every country faces their own problems and we cannot avoid it because it is a part of every battle. To overcome this, entire people must participate and united to solve the problem.

Another resource for a part of KPO offerings specifically around LPO and eDiscovery.
Or you can take a nice visual video that takes a lighter look.

- Philippines - An up an coming outsourcing destination. The Philippines has over 80 million people and is the 5th largest English speaking population. The Philippines has been making a name for itself due to its deserved reputation of great front-end customer service representatives. Much of the Fortune 2000 companies have considerable operations in some parts of the Philippines.
- South America and Mexico - Riding the benefits of the increase in Spanish speakers in America and abroad, South America has become prime destinations for bi-lingual outsourcing. Popular destinations include Buenos Aires, Mexico City and Colombia.
